The matters of the heart

The matters of the heart and feeling are of the most importance. They are both unquantifiable and profound. They affect the way in which we perceive, live and act. Not being able to quantify a subjective experience does not mean that science cannot break it down into its elements or measure its occurrence, because we know science can. What unquantifiable really means is that no unit can be assigned to that experience to make it comparable to that of another.

Love can be magnificent or painful, but no one would know except the person who is experiencing it. For those who have not encountered love, It is as impossible as trying to taste an imaginary apple. However, to not experience love would be to not experience life, because there are many types of love that we often ignore. The love between a mother and a child. The love between siblings. The love between partners. The love between Mother Earth and Mankind. The love between soul and the Supreme Soul. All are examples of love but the difference is in intensity and permanence.

The intensity and permanence of love takes the highest importance in all of philosophy, religion and spirituality. The question religion poses is, "How can I break through this barrier of false loves, and achieve a state of everlasting love and happiness called bliss?". The answer religion gives is simple: to go to the source of Love within ourselves and merge into it. The source of love is known by many names such as God, Ram, Allah, Waheguru, Jehovah. However, going beyond the limitations of linguistics, it is in the end the same Supreme Universality. By realising this infinite ocean of love within us, the rivers of our finite emotions and knowledge merge into this greater Supreme Universality and no longer do our emotions run wild.

The individual consciousness merges with the universal consciousness, and in this union of mind and matter, the subject's true identity of the soul is merged with the infinite identity of the Supreme Soul. The subject then gains an awareness of the effects of their actions on other people and themselves. It is in this awareness that they are able to avoid the negative consequences of their actions which bring pain and suffering. So long as this connection to the Source of Love remains, the subject shall remain intuitive, blissful and heart-centred.

Quote of the Day - Song of the Soul

People may get tired listening to different songs because they have a beginning and an end, but when you listen to song of your soul you will never tire, because it has no beginning and no end.

Reality is a paradox

Reality is a paradox, for in order to gain we must let go, and in order to create our future we must let go of our past, and in order to make progress we must be still, and in order to get to something we must get to nothing, and in order to be powerful we must be humble, and in order to accept we must listen, and in order to see infinity without we must see infinity within.

From Life to Bliss

To have a life one must live,
To live, one must experience,
To experience, one must experiment,
To experiment, one must be fearless,
To be fearless, one must be Divine,
To be Divine, one must realise the soul,
To realise the soul, one must surrender,
To surrender, one must become nothing,
To become nothing, one must let go,
To let go, one must be at peace,
To be at peace, one must be blissful,
To be blissful is to have a life.

The beauty of life is that it's unpredictable

The beauty of life is that it's unpredictable, it's creative and it's continually changing. You have two choices, you can go with the flow, or you can try and go against it. Trying to go against it just causes stress, because you cannot control the flow of life as much as you want to. The first option is the only real option, because you're accepting to be a part of that flow which you cannot control. Sometimes the flow gives you happiness, sometimes it gives you challenges, but what is certain is that the flow goes on and therefore, we must go on flowing. What is missing is a technology to help us get through the challenges life presents and a technology to foresee the changes that are coming, so that we're better equipped to deal with them. What is missing is self-acceptance and intuition. When you have those keys, then life is no longer unpredictable, it’s actually very clear, and you have the mental capacity to walk through life's challenges joyfully, gracefully and humbly.

"If I choose something, I'm stupid,
If I choose nothing, I'm lazy,
If I give up choice itself to allow the Infinite to choose through me, I'm wise."

Life Explained with Two Wolves

TWO WOLVES
One evening an old Cherokee (Native American) told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said:
"My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all...
...one is Evil - It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego...
...The other is Good - It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather:
"Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
