Vision of New Life Awakening

I have an intense feeling inside which relates to my life's vision and mission.

My primary rule in life is to never compromise who I am for anybody or anything. When a flower is in bloom who can tell it to be or smell any other way?

My mission in life is to bring spirituality to the common person, make it accessible, understandable and practical. Even whilst we are living in a highly technological, global and complex world - still spirituality must become our bedrock, our foundation, our grace because it is who we really are. It's what allows us to access our humanity.

As a result I'm going to create as many articles, books, workshops and videos to bring spirituality to the people in a form which can be used for hundreds of years to come. Well, to be honest, this is not a one man mission, but requires a whole team of like-minded people to come together and convert these old manuscripts of ancient wisdom into practical manuals for modern life, which can then be passed onto future generations.

The best thing is that, for the first time in billions of years, history will record these manuals and the process to create these manuals for all time to come. My name is unimportant. My personality is unimportant. All that matters is sharing these teachings purely. For when truth is spoken, it shines of its own accord and is recognised in value only by those who are seeking it and are open to receiving it.

Surely all that's worth the sacrifice of one human life, or for that matter, a few? ;)

A True Spiritual Path Is Difficult

For those who are interested in living an ordinary life - a spiritual path is not for you.

A spiritual path is the most difficult climb, the steepest curve, the highest peak.

Before you walk on such a path, you must know that things will never be the same again. You cannot retain any part of your formed identity nor its various layers - only your core essence will remain i.e. who you really are and have always been throughout all time - and you will have an infinitely more beautiful ROYAL identity grafted upon you.

I often ask people a question: does a King or Queen ever live an ordinary life? Ask Prince Charles, he will tell you. No, a King or Queen has a duty to serve their country, a duty to always have royal actions, royal words, royal dress, royal food, royal activities. It is not possible for somebody who is royal to live an ordinary life.

The difficult part is giving up the ego, the formed identity, controlling the senses, having the eyes, ears, mouth, nose, touch under one's control, giving up objects which seek to just gratify the senses, overcoming attachment, balancing sexual desire, controlling anger, watching greed, dropping hatred, conquering the mind, filtering thoughts, conquering fears, overcoming shyness, transcending anxieties, breaking depression, becoming courageous, being forgiving, kind, compassionate, intelligent, assertive, intuitive, constant, dedicated, faithful. In other words: becoming totally balanced, unshakable, GLOWING.

So, although the spiritual path is the most difficult, it's also the most rewarding. The rewards cannot be quantified in words, as they will be beyond your wildest dreams, and more than you could have ever hoped or dreamed for. You will experience real miracles, superhuman abilities will grow within you, you will have humbling experiences that leave you speechless, your body and face will literally begin to glow with light, you will become AWARE of how to travel between the past, present and future at will, you will begin to hear other people's thoughts and feel other people's feelings, you will come into contact with other civilisations and beings through the intuition, the entire Universe will begin to serve each of your needs, you will find the Universe revolving inside you, nature will become your friend, the elements will change as you want them to, each of your words will become a meditation full of purity and clarity.

You will become incredibly powerful and capable of things only imagined within science fiction, but all your power will be because of your humility, because you would have given up your identity, given up your likes and dislikes, given up being right and making others wrong, given up your ego, your ambitions, your desires, your goals, your fears, given up everything you know and believe to be true, given up your breath, your mind, your body and your soul and dedicated it before God, before the Supreme Being, the Lord of the Universe. Your power will be because of your complete and constant surrender to God and the Guru, the teacher who shows you how to get to God.

I write all these things because there is too much doubt about the spiritual path nowadays. Spirituality and God have just become an empty belief, a childish belief, without any reality, substance, without any true effects and changes taking place within the human psyche, without the idea of God changing our character, improving our character and expanding our awareness about ourselves, without us gaining insight into the impact of our actions on others. True religion makes one a better human being day by day. Nowadays, religion makes one more egotistical day by day.

Therefore... a true religion, a true path is difficult to find within this modern world, but there are paths that exist, and they are very difficult to walk, but the rewards for walking them are mind-blowing and heart-rendering, making you glow and grow beyond what you can ever imagine.

My Voyage to India (Sep - Oct 2011)

My recent trip to India was a real experience and I had a lot of transformational experiences there! There's so much I want to say, but I'll keep it succinct:

Great Things About India
Growth - As India is developing, its slowly creating modern cities like Jalandhar, Chandigarh and Gurgaon, which are in complete contrast to other cities like Amritsar that still need massive redevelopment. Slow and steady wins the race

Efficiency - I've learnt that everything is possible, for example, travelling with your entire family (4 people) on standard a bicycle or motorcycle. Indians always make the most of what they have, rather than buying new equipment or infrastructure. If you don't have a ladder, use the wood in your garden (or your neighbour's garden) to build one

Spirituality - Its built into the fabric of the society with rituals, temples and ashrams at every corner. However, a lot of Indians take their spiritual heritage for granted and do not practice its teachings, which is a shame, but everyone respects their religion and other religions and ways of life too

Hospitality & Humility - Indians understand how to host people and are really a humble people at their core. Their hospitality is unrivalled to anything I've seen elsewhere.

Not-So-Great Things About India
Waste management - A lot of India stinks of not so nice things: urine and faeces. There needs to be a law passed to ban people from peeing on the pavement in public and also there's needs to be a government initiative to recycle and dispose waste properly. Currently most Indians just throw litter on the street or dump their rubbish into large mounds of waste which are usually in public places - horrible! This is a reflection of India's emotional consciousness too, of not properly disposing their internal emotional waste

Road safety - There are no laws of the road, anything goes. You can even go in the reverse direction on a motorway! Although I personally did not see any accidents, a recent article by Times of India claims 14 people died every hour in India in 2008. They go on to say that, "While trucks/lorries and two-wheelers were responsible for over 40% deaths, the rush during afternoon and evening hours were the most fatal phases". I have to say I'm not surprised and this is in line with what I have seen

Anger & Sexual Repression - I saw a lot of anger and sexual repression - which are often linked together. The more sexually repressed a society is, the more anger which is prevalent. India has just awoken to the sexual freedom of the West, where sex is seen as important for pleasure just as much as it is for procreation. However, in becoming more sexually expressed, India is losing its grace and humility, the roots from which it came, and this goes onto my second point...

Still Growing - Because India is in massive growth and transition, its like a child trying to act like its older Western brother and in the process forgetting its identity, its values and its roots. Sure, the western lifestyle is appealing, but India has still yet to mature and learn how to balance its values with the new wave of Western culture.

Initially therefore, a lot of the younger generation are experimenting with new ideas of having boyfriends and girlfriends, going to night clubs, partying, taking drugs, indulging in all the things their parents would never indulge in. Eventually though, when India matures it will rediscover its spiritual roots, its grace from which is came, and the peace India has shared with the world shall again be restored back to India.

A Data-Driven Approach to Spiritual Development

Today is a momentous occasion - the day I officially retire from the corporate world and start my business venture in creating a new approach to personal development based on data, feedback and results. If something works then it works, if it doesn't work then it doesn't work - often the obvious must be stated :)

So, what shall be born is the social enterprise New Life Awakening (http://www.newlifeawakening.com), with its vision to create a personal development course that brings about life-long transformation in individuals.

New Life Awakening does not mean that people going on the course will change their life in any way necessarily, but rather, the course is designed to re-awaken the life within one's life. In other words, we are all living anyway, no course can change the fact that we live - but what we can change is how we experience that life, how much zeal there is in that life and how we can learn to handle it so that we can achieve what we want to - all of which is an internal process, rather than an external one.

New Life Awakening is not about teaching any new profound truths, its about teaching old truths in a new profound way - in a way which is relevant to people of this modern era, which people can relate to and apply in their lives, so that the teaching has an impact in one's life. A lot of people go on personal development courses and get a high out of it for a few days and then the emotional high disappears and along with it all the possibilities of living life to its maximum. Instead, a personal development course should be designed as such, to not provide a high, but to provide some tools for life-long transformation and also a support mechanism so people can use those tools in their lives and improve the quality of their life within their life.

Also, New Life Awakening is a complete picture of all the factors which go into spiritual development (as I published in a previous post), and how to develop each and every aspect, to become fulfilled - fully-filled with love, love and love. A course should tackle it all, or what's the point of creating someone half-cooked, half-enlightened?

I'm very grateful to God, Guru, all the spiritual teachers and people who have helped me walk this path, to the Sun for its warmth and energy, to the moon for its subtlety and mystery, to the Earth - the great mother, to the stars who are our ancestors and all my beautiful family and friends who enrich my life everyday.

May I walk this path with integrity, humility, serenity, grace, and may I share everything I know and which I have experienced with everyone to create individuals who are far greater and more beautiful than I could ever comprehend, and to whom I shall dedicate my life and to whom I shall entrust my legacy.

But before I go, I received a Hukamnama (order) from the Guru directly when asked a question by my brother about whether quitting the corporate world was a stupid move or not, and I thought to myself "God, you've looked after me for so long, and I know you will continue to do so", and then automatically I began to sing the following hymn from Guru Granth Sahib, limb 318 by Guru Arjan Dev in melody Gauri which summarises everything about my mission beautifully:

Balls of Energy and Vortexes

Human beings are not made of flesh, we're made of light, we are a ball of energy wrapped in skin. Since energy is eternal, naturally, human beings are eternal too.

Within this ball of energy are vortexes, spiralling continuously like galaxies. In a way, the Universe is fractal in nature, so what happens inside of us is also happening in the Universe, and is the Universe. So just like galaxies are vortexes, spiralling continuously inside themselves, so are we spiralling continuously inside ourselves.

This is not a philosophical belief, it's the true nature of what we are, which science will one day come to prove. Science and spirituality will go hand-in-hand one day, even though it shall take a millennia. Proving that human beings are nothing but a ball of light and a spiralling vortex of energy is a bit far fetched for today's world, but soon it will be known as the norm.

The term 'Ball of light' can be replaced with a more scientific term: electromagnetic field or psycho-magnetic field. All electromagnetic fields are interconnected to one another in a beautiful, elegant and infinite network. Everything has an electromagnetic field, since we are all made of the same stuff, atoms. Once we are able to tap into this network of fields, energies, we come to know the Unknown, and see the Unseen in everything that happens.

What does knowing the Unknown really mean? It means knowing something beyond our logic and our intellect, something profound. It's a feeling, an experience and also an awareness. It's in feeling connected to the entire Universe, that you are all the people, all the environments, all the stars and the planets and that's really it's alright, it's all just an illusion we exist in, there's no real need to get attached to anybody or anything, or to be particularly doing anything to change it. It's all alright how it is. Out of the experience of it being alright how it is, comes a profound power to change it, not because we want to, but because that is our task assigned to us by this wider network of the Universe, which some call God.

Knowing the unknown also means that your intuition has started to work and you can actually know things that you never ever learnt or were taught, but only because you're able to tap into this vast network of information in the Universe. It means to be able to know anybody or anything's past, present or future instantly. Kind of like searching on Google, but way beyond it in absolute fine, specific, granular detail and without the use of any other technology other than your own self, your own Universal mind.

Also, its not actually that you know the Unknown, its more that you have done enough work on yourself to know how to tap into the Unknown. It's a gift, a burden and also a great responsibility to have reached this state of development, which is why one must be humble and remain humble in this state. In fact, humility is the only way to maintain this state, and the more humble one is, the more the nature of things is revealed to oneself with greater and greater clarity.
